Sea Moss & Mineral Wellness Guide
Understanding Sea Moss, Minerals & Alkaline Wellness
At Moss Man, everything we make is built on one core idea: the body heals best when it has the raw minerals it needs. Here's a deeper look at the science and tradition behind our products.
What Makes Sea Moss Different
Sea moss (Chondrus crispus), also called Irish moss, is a red algae that grows along rocky Atlantic coastlines. It's naturally rich in iodine, calcium, potassium, magnesium, zinc, and vitamins A, C, E, and K — containing 92 of the 102 minerals the human body is made of.
- Immune support — antiviral and antimicrobial properties
- Digestive health — prebiotic fiber that nourishes gut bacteria
- Thyroid function — naturally high in iodine
- Skin health — moisturizing properties that support conditions like eczema and psoriasis
- Energy & fullness — fiber content supports sustained energy
The Mineral-Deficiency Philosophy
Much of our approach draws from traditional alkaline health teachings, including the principles that influenced Dr. Sebi's work: that many modern ailments stem from mineral deficiency, and that replenishing the body with plant-based, bioavailable minerals supports the body's own healing processes. This is why we concentrate our products rather than diluting them — we want every serving to actually deliver.
Black Seed, Elderberry & Dandelion Root
Our Super Iron Immunity Booster combines sea moss with three additional traditional botanicals:
- Black seed (Nigella sativa) — used for centuries to support immune and respiratory health
- Elderberry — rich in antioxidants, traditionally used to support the immune system
- Dandelion root — supports liver function and digestion
Building a Daily Ritual
Consistency matters more than intensity. Most customers start with one serving of sea moss gel daily (in a smoothie, tea, or by the spoon), and layer in a detox tonic or bitters a few times a week as part of a broader wellness routine. Pair with our mineral-infused hair and oral care for a full daily practice.
